Process

Nine steps from introduction to closeout.

Precision isn't a personality trait — it's a process. Every Kamaka project moves through the same nine steps, so partners always know what happens next.

01

Introduction & Fit

A direct conversation about the project, the scope, the timeline, and whether Kamaka is the right trade for it. If we're not, we'll say so.

02

Plan Review

Drawings, elevations, and finish schedules reviewed in detail. Conflicts, ambiguities, and missing dimensions are flagged in writing before they become field problems.

03

Proposal & Submittals

A specific, line-item scope — what's included, what's excluded, what's assumed — with shop drawings or submittals where the detail warrants them.

04

Field Verification

As-built conditions measured on site before anything is fabricated or ordered. The drawing says one thing; the framing sometimes says another.

05

Mockups & Samples

Profiles, joints, and finishes approved through physical samples and mockups — so the decision is made at a sample board, not at a finished wall.

06

Schedule Commitment

Committed start and duration, coordinated with the trades before and after us. If something threatens the date, you hear it early — not on the date.

07

Protection & Installation

Floors, finishes, and adjacent work protected. Work areas kept clean daily. Installation executed to the approved drawings and mockups.

08

Walkthrough & Punch

Kamaka punches its own scope first — caulk lines, nail holes, alignments, touch-ups — before the builder or designer ever makes a list.

09

Closeout

Final walkthrough, care guidance where relevant, documentation delivered, and no loose ends left for the builder to chase.

Bring us in at step zero.

The earlier the conversation, the better the finish work — and the smoother the schedule.
