Capabilities
The full finish scope, executed by one trade.
Kamaka takes the architectural finish package from drawing to closeout — paneling, ceilings, trim, built-ins, mantels, doors, and stair work — so there is one accountable trade for the most visible work in the house.
Paneling & Wainscoting
Full-height paneling, applied molding, wainscoting, and rail-and-stile rooms — laid out to the room dimensions, not the sheet good.
Coffered Ceilings & Box Beams
Coffered ceilings, exposed beams, and box-beam grids planned around lighting, HVAC, and framing before the first cut.
Trim, Casing & Crown
Tight miters, consistent reveals, clean transitions at every door, window, and run — including stacked profiles and architectural casings.
Custom Built-Ins & Media Walls
Libraries, entertainment walls, window seats, mudroom systems, and closets — scribed to field conditions and finished as architecture, not furniture pushed against a wall.
Mantels & Fireplace Surrounds
The room's focal point, executed level, plumb, and proportioned to the elevation — coordinated with stone, steel, and venting requirements.
Doors, Hidden Doors & Hardware
Door installation, alignment, and tuning — including concealed and jib doors integrated invisibly into paneling, with hardware coordination handled early.
Stair Components & Handrails
Treads, risers, newels, balusters, and handrails fitted to code and to the eye — consistent reveals, smooth transitions, solid feel.
Stain-Grade Millwork Install
Stain-grade installation where every joint shows — grain matched, reveals consistent, fasteners hidden, finish protected from delivery through closeout.
Field Layout & Drawing Coordination
Pre-installation field layout from architectural drawings — sightlines, centerlines, course heights, and elevation control set against real framing before anything is cut. We reconcile drawings to as-built conditions and flag conflicts with electrical, HVAC, stone, and steel early, so the install matches the design intent.
Architectural Punch Lists
End-of-project architectural punch executed to designer and owner standards — correcting reveals, joints, and finish details other trades left behind, with a written list closed out item by item. Ideal for high-end builds where the final 5% is what the client actually sees.
